Hilton Zurich Airport is the hotel with the view of the runway and, on a clear day, the Alps behind it: 323 rooms and suites at Hohenbühlstrasse 10 in Opfikon-Glattbrugg, five minutes from the terminal by the hotel’s own shuttle (CHF 7), with the Horizon10 restaurant and lobby bar, a 24-hour fitness centre with sauna and steam room, an Executive Lounge, meeting rooms, electric vehicle charging and parking at CHF 35. It is the classic airport Hilton, soundproofed and efficient, and the city centre is 15 minutes away by car.

Queen and Twin Guest Rooms are 25 sq m, Queen and Twin Deluxe Rooms 28 sq m, and the Queen and Twin Executive Rooms with Lounge Access are also 28 sq m. Families take the 40 sq m Family Suite; the King Relaxation Room with Lounge Access is 41 sq m and the King Relaxation Suite 76 sq m. Every room has air conditioning, blackout curtains, a desk, coffee and tea making facilities, a mini bar, a safe, an iron and free Wi-Fi, and the runway-facing rooms are the ones to request.

Breakfast and dining
Restaurant Horizon10 has an open kitchen, a buffet and a Swiss and international menu (the Swiss burger is the house dish), with windows onto the runway and the mountains. Breakfast is served from 6:00 am to 10:00 am on weekdays and 6:00 am to 10:30 am at weekends, lunch from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and dinner from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Lobby Bar Horizon10 serves coffee, croissants, snacks, cocktails and wine from 12:00 pm to 1:00 am with a view over the north of Zurich. Room service is available.
Facilities and services
The 24-hour fitness centre has cardio equipment and weights, with a sauna and steam room next to it. The Executive Lounge serves breakfast and evening refreshments to Executive room guests and Hilton Honors Diamond members, and the business centre has meeting rooms for small conferences.
Check-in is at 3:00 pm and check-out at 12:00 pm. Pets are accepted (dogs and cats up to 10 kg, two per room) for CHF 45 per stay. Parking costs CHF 35 a night and electric vehicle charging is on site.
Location and transport
The hotel is in Opfikon-Glattbrugg, about 3 km from the terminal, five minutes by the hotel shuttle (CHF 7 per person per ride, timetable at the desk) or by taxi. Parking is CHF 35 a night and the hotel sells park, sleep and fly rates for travellers leaving the car for a week.
